Tenets of Faith

  1. We believe in one God who exists in three persons:  Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  2. We believe that the Holy Bible is the verbally inspired Word of God to man and is the infallable and authoritative rule of faith and practice.
  3. We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, and the sacred death of Jesus Christ; His glorious resurrection, His exaltation, and His soon return.
  4. We believe in salvation by grace through faith in the shed blood of Jesus. This salvation is received through repentance and submission to Jesus as Lord and Savior.
  5. We believe that water baptism by immersion is commanded in Scripture as an outward expression of an inward work divided. It is a declaration to the world that the believer has died and risen with Christ to walk in newness of life. All who repent and believe on Christ as Lord and Savior shall be baptized. We believe that the Lord’s Supper, or Holy Communion, is a symbol of our union with Christ and partaking of His divine nature; a memorial of His suffering and death; and a prophecy of His second coming.
  6. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third Person of the God Head, His work in the new birth, enduring the believer with power for life and godliness, witness, service and it is accompanied by deepened reverence for God and His work and a more active love for Christ, His word and the lost.
  7. We believe that physical healing was provided for in the atonement of Christ and that divine healing is available through the prayer of faith for all.
  8. We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ, the habitation of the Spirit, and that the local church is the concrete expression of the General Assembly and Church of the First-Born. Every believer should as soon as possible become an active and integral part of a local Church, contributing to its mission by offering his time, talents, tithes (10% of income) and other resources which the Lord may have need of to support His Work.
  9. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the believers as the blessed hope of the Church, the millenial reign of Christ, the judgement of the wicked, and the new heaven and the new earth.
